For feedback, questions about the tool, or anything else:
hello@overlaptimezone.ccπ Bug Reports
If a city is showing the wrong time, the grid isn't rendering correctly, or you've found an issue, please email with the city name and your browser/OS version. We take accuracy seriously and aim to investigate within 48 hours.
hello@overlaptimezone.ccβοΈ Licensing & Commercial Use
Overlap Timezone is copyright protected. If you're interested in licensing the tool, embedding it commercially, or white-labelling it for your product, please get in touch to discuss terms.
hello@overlaptimezone.ccπ Missing a City?
The tool includes 125+ cities but there are thousands more. If your city isn't in the local search results, try typing the city name β it will fall back to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoder to find it. If that still doesn't work, let us know and we'll consider adding it to the built-in list.
City requests are the most common message we receive and the easiest to act on. Include the city and country, and if you know it the IANA zone identifier β something like Europe/Vilnius or America/Halifax. Cities are added in batches when several requests accumulate for the same region.
π Reporting a Wrong Time
Accuracy reports are treated as the highest-priority category, because a timezone tool that is quietly wrong is worse than no tool at all. If a time looks incorrect, the most useful report includes:
β the two cities involved and the date you were looking at
β what the tool showed and what you believe is correct
β your browser and operating system, with versions
That last detail matters more than it might seem. All timezone calculations use your browser's own copy of the IANA database, so an out-of-date browser or operating system can produce genuinely stale rules for a country that changed its clocks recently. Knowing your versions usually resolves the question immediately. Our methodology page explains how the figures are produced and includes console snippets you can run to check any value independently.
hello@overlaptimezone.ccπ What We Can and Cannot Help With
Overlap Timezone is a small, independently run project rather than a company with a support department, so it is worth being clear about scope.
We can help with: bugs in the grid or the reference pages, incorrect timezone data, missing cities, questions about how the overlap scoring works, embedding the widget in your own documentation, and licensing or commercial-use enquiries.
We cannot help with: account issues, because there are no accounts; data recovery, because nothing is stored on our servers β your city selections live only in your own browser; or integration support for third-party calendar and scheduling products we have no connection to.
For what data the site does and does not process, see the privacy policy. For terms of use and the conditions attached to embedding, see the terms.
β±οΈ Response Times
Messages are read Monday to Friday and we aim to reply within 48 hours. Accuracy reports are usually answered the same day, since they may affect everyone using the tool rather than one person. Licensing enquiries can take longer, particularly if they involve anything beyond standard embedding.
If you have not heard back within a week, the message has almost certainly been caught by a spam filter β please send it again rather than assuming it was ignored.
