Auckland to London: time difference and meeting times
Everything you need to schedule between Auckland and London — the current offset, both cities' daylight saving dates, and the hour-by-hour overlap of their working days.
Partial overlap only. There is no hour when both cities are inside core working hours. Both sides are awake and available at 05:00–09:00 UTC, 18:00–20:00 UTC, but at least one of them is in the early morning or the evening. That is the realistic window for this pair.

Daylight saving
Auckland next moves its clocks forward on 27 September 2026, to UTC+13. London next moves its clocks back on 25 October 2026, to UTC+0.
Opposite daylight saving seasons
Both cities change their clocks, but in opposite directions — one is entering summer time as the other leaves it. The gap between them therefore swings across a wider range over the year than a single clock change would produce. Pin recurring meetings to UTC; local time on either side will drift.
These cities are usually on different calendar days
The gap here is large enough that for much of the day the two cities are not merely at different times but on different dates. When you agree a meeting, confirm the date in both cities explicitly — "Tuesday at 9" means two different moments depending on whose Tuesday you mean.
Scheduling across this corridor
This is the hardest corridor in regular commercial use. Europe and Oceania are close to twelve hours apart, and because their daylight saving runs in opposite directions the gap moves in both directions across the year. There is no hour at which both sides are comfortably at work. The realistic options are a very early European morning against a late Australian evening, or the reverse, and teams that sustain this corridor almost always rotate the burden rather than fixing a single slot.
About Auckland
Auckland observes daylight saving on the southern-hemisphere schedule, starting in late September and ending in early April — a longer season than eastern Australia's, which means the trans-Tasman gap changes for several weeks each year. New Zealand is among the first populated places to enter each new calendar day, and during its summer time it runs thirteen hours ahead of UTC.
About London
London is the practical reference point for global scheduling, sitting at UTC in winter and an hour ahead of it in summer. That is precisely why UTC and London time are not the same thing for most of the year, and why "GMT" used loosely between April and October is usually wrong. British Summer Time runs from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, on the EU schedule rather than the American one.
