Scheduling across this corridor
The transatlantic corridor is the most forgiving of the long-haul pairings, and the only one where a genuine shared working day exists. The window is real but narrow: it opens when the US East Coast starts work and closes when Europe goes home, which in practice means the early afternoon in Europe and the morning in New York. The complication is not the offset itself — it is that the two regions change their clocks on different dates, so the gap silently widens or narrows for a couple of weeks each spring and autumn.

Berlin runs on Central European Time and is the usual anchor for German-speaking business scheduling. German working hours start early and finish correspondingly early, so late-afternoon calls are less welcome here than in southern Europe — a meaningful consideration on corridors where the European side is being asked to stay late.
