Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Overlap Timezone website and tool at overlaptimezone.cc (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.

In these Terms: "Service" means the Overlap Timezone website, the timezone-grid tool, the embeddable widget, and all related pages. "We", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of Overlap Timezone. "You" and "your" refer to the individual or organisation using the Service.

Overlap Timezone provides a free tool for visualising time differences and working-hour overlap between cities. You may use the Service for personal, educational, and professional purposes, including coordinating meetings for teams and organisations. The Service runs in your browser and does not require an account.

You may embed the widget on your own website or wiki using the embed code provided, subject to the Acceptable Use section below. The Service is offered free of charge; we may introduce optional paid features in the future, in which case separate terms will apply to those features.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we strive to keep timezone and daylight-saving-time data accurate, time calculations depend on your browser's internationalisation data and on third-party timezone databases that can change. We do not guarantee that the Service will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

You are responsible for verifying any meeting time before relying on it. Do not use the Service as the sole basis for time-critical decisions without independent confirmation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including, without limitation, scheduling errors, missed meetings, or incorrect time interpretations. Because the Service is free, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use it (which is zero) or USD 10.

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and underlying code, is owned by the operator of Overlap Timezone and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The name "Overlap Timezone" and the site branding may not be used without permission. You may use the embeddable widget as provided, but you may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service as your own product without prior written consent. This website relies on third-party services, which may include Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), Google Fonts, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and your use of the Service is also subject to those terms. You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation; (b) attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure; (c) scrape, mirror, or systematically download the Service except as expressly permitted; or (d) misrepresent the Service as your own. We reserve the right to restrict access to anyone who breaches these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the operator's place of residence.
